Our Hiring/Placement Process
Hiring and placement is a process that will mostly take place throughout the summer. Someone will get hired first, and someone will get hired last. However, our team is here to support you through every step of this process! We encourage you all to be flexible and ensure you are up to date on all action items and communication that comes your way.
1.
CMs submit district preferences to our Onboarding Team via the Get to Know You Survey.

TFA & district partners reach a formal agreement for which schools within each district will partner with TFA.
5.
Onboarding Team begins back and forth communication with our partner schools and districts in regards to vacancies and school needs.
7.
Onboarding Team coordinates virtual interviews (potentially in person as well) with principals and corps members.
9.
Principals select which corps members they wish to recommend for hire and notify corps members of their decision.

Onboarding Team combs through CM preferences to set strategy.
4.
District leaders inform selected schools that they are eligible to interview & hire TFA teachers to fill their vacancies.
6.
Onboarding Team begins to share corps member resumes with principals. Shared resumes are only of CMs who have passed ALL GACE exams.
8.
Corps members interview virtually (potentially in person as well) with principals and their school teams.
10.
Process begins again!
