The state of Georgia allows individuals from outside professions to enter a classroom as the teacher of record as long as they remain Highly Qualified to teach. One of the requirements for remaining HQ to teach is enrolling in, and progressing through, a Georgia-approved teacher/educator certification program throughout your time in the classroom. Thus, ALL teachers who are not already certified MUST enroll in a Georgia-approved preparation program AND remain in good standing throughout their corps commitment.
